Released March 19, 2021, on the first anniversary of the California Stay Home Order, Josh Lippi & The Overtimers' new EP ' In Quarantine' is a live acoustic EP of candid performances recorded over the last year with various special guests.
The Sacramento EP is a reflective homage to the city where Lippi grew up, and the local music scene that gave him his start.
Recorded in a living room in Sacramento CA, the EP features originals, as well as covers of his favorite Sacramento songwriters.
The second single from the upcoming Sacramento EP, "Float On" is a dreamy ballad of letting go and allowing the journey to happen.
A mixture of low fi and hi fi, guitars and mandolins waltz around drum machines and live percussion, setting a trancelike mood with the intimacy of the living room that the song was recorded in.
Everybody's Crazy from upcoming 'The Sacramento EP' grooves to the beauty of crazy and solidarity.
Recorded in a living room in his home town, the layers of live and electronic instrumentation, low-fi and hi-fi, and lyrical sincerity echo the beautiful chaos of life.
Una Notte a North Beach is a collection of free instrumental songs available via Josh's YouTube page, for artists and creators to use and help inspire their own works. The songs set scenes inspired by locations in the San Francisco Italian neighborhood North Beach.
Blending the sounds of 70s euro crime soundtracks with San Francisco psych rock, Una Notte a North Beach creates a soundtrack to a movie that hasn't been made, but is lived every night on the streets of North Beach.
Manzanillo St., his second full length began while Josh was living in Mexico City. Josh finished the album on a break between tours pulling a four day stand at Different Fur studios, literally sleeping on the couch in the control room to put all the pieces together.
With inspirations from early Brit Rock, 50’s doo-wop, Mexican culture, observations of life on the road & the changes at his home, Manzanillo St. is a further exploration into Lippi's Rock & Roll influences.
